The ancient game of golf attracts such devotion, studied dedication, and elaborate planning that it is the source of endless tales. One such begins at the gold course as four men approach the sixteenth tee. The straight fairway runs along a road and bike path is fenced off on the left.
The first golfer tees off and hooks the ball in that direction. But the ball travels over the fence and bounces off the bike path onto the road, where it hits the tire of a moving bus and is knocked back on to the fairway, landing in a quite favorable position.
All the golfers stood in silent amazement. One brave soul finally ventured to ask,
"How on earth did you do that?"
The fellow shrugs his shoulders and replies,
"You have to know the bus schedule ..."
