At sea many years ago, the young sailor was standing watch. Suddenly he called out,
"Man overboard!"
There was great confusion on deck, and the captain called the fellow to report.
"I am at fault, sir. I made a mistake by shouting 'man overboard.'"
"Be more attentive next time, sailor," the captain replied, and signaled for the ship to continue.
