Two Russian peasants had walked to a hilltop in anticipation of a procession that was about to pass. It seems that a notable party official from a neighboring town had died and a funeral procession would pass that way. This official was widely noted for his bureaucratic enthusiasm and dedication to the various "five-year" plans.
They hadn't long to wait until a line of official cars came down the road. They watched somberly for several minutes until suddenly a large coal truck became visible on the road behind the procession.
"It is just as I said, Comrade," said one of the men admiringly. "A planner to the last. "Not only does he know where he is going but he has arranged his own fuel."
