Assertiveness

Checking in again with Ma & Pa, it seems that Pa has been suffering from bouts of nervousness. His physician advised that stress may be the cause.

"Try to remove stress from your life wherever possible," said he. "Be assertive if you need to. "Don't suffer in silence."

Intent upon taking this advice, Pa determines to go straight home and show Ma who's boss. Once there, he slams the door, folds his arms, and grows,

"From now on you're taking orders from me. "I want my supper right now, and when you get it on the table, go upstairs and lay out my clothes. "Tonight I am going out with the boys. "You are going to stay at home where you belong. "Another thing, you know who is going to tie my bow tie?"

Utterly unperturbed and unmoved Ma replies,

"I certainly do. "The undertaker."
