The austere 6th grade math teacher, decidedly a personality of the most conservative strain, stood before his new assembly and posed the following problem:
"Suppose," said he, "that a wealthy man dies and leaves ten million dollars. One-third is to go to his wife, one-fifth is to go to his son, one-sixth to his butler, one eighth to his secretary, and the rest to charity. Now, what does each get?"
After a very long silence in the classroom, at last a hand was raised.
The teacher called for the answer.
With utmost sincerity, it came:
" ... A good lawyer."
