Three travelers had wandered off the main highway and found themselves hopelessly lost. There was a rabbi, a hindu priest, and a lawyer. After driving around for what seemed like hours, the weary group spotted a farmhouse in the distance. They agreed to stop in and ask for lodging for the night.
They knocked on the door and the old farmer answered. They explained their plight, and the farmer said he had two spare bedrooms in the house, but one of the men would have to sleep in the barn.
The hindu priest took the barn despite the arguments from the rabbi. After only a couple of minutes, however, the priest was back at the door. He apologetically explained he couldn't sleep in the same barn with a cow.
The rabbi immediately stepped forward and offered to go out to the barn. Again, shortly after, there was a knock on the door. It was the rabbi. He apologized and explained how he couldn't sleep in the same barn with a pig.
They both looked at the lawyer. In a huff, he stormed through the door, heading towards the barn. Within 5 minutes there was another knock on the door. The farmer answered it and there stood the pig and the cow.
