While Liberial Australian Prime Minister Robert Menzies was campaigning once, a disgruntled voter called out to him:
"I wouldn't vote for you if you were the Archangel Gabriel himself."
To which Menzies immediately replied, with not a little indignation:
"If I were the Archangel Gabriel, you wouldn't be in my constituency."
