At the great university, cradle of so many famed sages and scholars, the aged professor was discoursing on a number of essential topics. The audience was restless, and became more so the nearer he came to commenting on the ethical behavior (or lack thereof) evidenced in society as a whole.
At last the bell rang, signifying the close of the period. The great man's annoyance increased as the assembly noisily prepared to leave, even though he was in the very middle of his remarks.
