Management Skills

The latest group of MBAs had emerged from the prestigious university and one young fellow took his hard-fought place in the business army.

During his first week he had adequately maneuvered among the new and strange policies and procedures of his new office and at last had produced the critical report the boss was expecting. It incorporated the fruits of his years of learning, long dreary workshops, and endless team-building exercises. The fellow was convinced that he was about to make his mark.

In the support area of the large office he was finalizing preparations for his presentation meeting, which took place in moments. Standing before the bewildering array of office machinery he paused to get his bearings. Selecting a machine for his needs he studied its workings for some minutes.

"Need some help?" a secretary asks.

"Yes," replies the newcomer. "How does this thing work?"

"Simple," she says, taking the fat report from his hand and feeding it into the shredder.

"Thanks," he says smiling, "but where do the copies come out?"

---------------A Final Thought ...

" If you give someone a white shirt and a tie and a ring of keys you'll find out what kind of rude fool he is. Give them to him in the morning and you'll know before noon."
