The young fellow was joining the business army and applying for a job at the community's largest employer. Although far from a seasoned employee, he clearly had his own ideas as to how an interview should progress.
The personnel manager, a stern individual devoid of human compassion, began,
"I'm sorry, but the firm is overstaffed; we have more employees now than we really need."
Undeterred, the fellow replied,
"That's all right. The little bit of work I do wouldn't be noticed ..."
