On a recent ski trip, a fellow was involved in an unfortunate accident when, owing to his lack of attention to matters at hand, he was knocked unconscious by the chair lift. Immediately he called his insurance company from the hospital, but learned that his claim was denied.

"Why is the injury not covered?" he asked.

"You were hit in the head by a chair lift," the insurance representative replied, "That makes you an idiot. We consider that to be a preexisting condition ..."
