Sometimes, or so it is said, applications for certain positions reflect the type of person the company expects will apply. So it happened, not long ago, that a fellow was filling out a job application. When he came to the question,
"Have you ever been arrested?" he wrote, "No."
The next question, clearly intended for people who had answered in the affirmative to the previous question, was
"Why?"
The applicant did not quite follow the logic of the form, so he responded,
"Never got caught."
