Once a fellow presented himself at the human resources department of a large company. Upon request, he passes the interviewer his application.
The executive scans the sheet, and notes that the applicant has been fired from every job he has ever held.
"I must say," begins the executive, "your work history is abominable. You've been fired from every job."
"Yes,"
"Certainly there's not much positive in that."
"Well," replies the applicant, filling himself with as much toplofty self-importance as he can muster, "At least I'm no quitter ..."
