Change in the Air

Here are several pictures of a starling engaged in the sort of activities starlings typically undertake.  The pictures were taken in the early 1990s by a fellow who operated a self-service car wash in Frederick, Maryland.

It seems that the fellow was complaining that significant amounts of money were being lost.  A trap was set for the thief, with these results.

You might complain (as some people have) that the pictures were digitally altered, but you'd be wrong.  The provenance of the pictures is known (they first appeared in the "Self Service Car Wash News,)" and have not been faked, enhanced, or changed in any way.
